What does IP65 front protection mean on an industrial panel PC?
IP65 on the front bezel means the touch surface is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction, so the panel can be wiped down or splashed in food, pharmaceutical and outdoor-cabinet environments. The rear housing rating is typically lower (IP54/IP4x depending on model and installation); full-enclosure IP ratings can be discussed for custom projects.
Why are industrial panel PCs fanless?
Fanless designs use low-power Intel Celeron/Core or ARM processors cooled through the aluminum chassis and fin stack, eliminating fan failure and dust intake in continuous-operation environments. MHY panels support approximately −20 to 60 degrees Celsius operation depending on the model, plus 9–36V DC input for vehicle and cabinet deployments.
Which operating systems do MHY industrial panels support?
Depending on the hardware platform: Windows 10/11 IoT Enterprise or LTSC, Android, Linux and Ubuntu. Industrial features such as BIOS settings, hardware watchdog timers, auto-power-on after power loss, RTC wake and remote management are available for unattended machine integration.
Can the panel PC be customized for OEM machine builders?
Yes. MHY supports custom bezels and colors, logo marking, BIOS splash screen, I/O port definitions, mounting brackets, connector types and pre-installed OS images. We also manage component lifecycle and change notifications so repeat machine orders remain mechanically and software-consistent over time.
Can projected-capacitive touch be used with gloves?
Standard capacitive touch works with most thin work gloves, but for thick rubber, wet or oily glove use we recommend the 5-wire resistive touch option or a capacitive firmware tuned for glove operation. Tell us your operator conditions and we will recommend the correct touch solution.
