Self-Checkout, Payment Kiosks, POS and Signage From One Factory

Speed up the front of store with hardware configured for real retail workflows — barcode scanning, weighing, cash and cashless payment, receipt printing and promotional displays — customizable in enclosure, modules, operating system and brand.

What Self-Service Does for Stores

Flexible Throughput at the Front of Store

🚀

Faster Checkout Lanes

Several self-checkout terminals fit in the space of one staffed lane, absorbing peak baskets while cashiers focus on exceptions and service.

💵

Cash or Cashless

NFC, chip and magnetic card, mobile wallets, bill and coin modules or cash-recycling — specified per store format instead of one-size-fits-all.

🔗

Connected to Your Stack

SDKs and APIs for scanners, scales, payment and printers let your POS, ERP or self-checkout application drive every peripheral.

🧾

Unattended Services

Dedicated payment kiosks for bill payment, account top-up, order collection, gift cards and loyalty enrollment beyond the checkout lane.

📺

In-Store Signage

Floor-standing and wall-mounted digital signage promotes offers, supports wayfinding and reinforces the same brand system as the kiosks.

FAQ

Retail & Supermarket Questions

What is the difference between self-checkout and a payment kiosk?
A self-checkout terminal lets shoppers scan and bag the goods they selected and then pay, typically with a large scale/bagging area in supermarkets. A payment kiosk handles payment for an order or service already created elsewhere — for example topping up an account, paying a bill or collecting an online order — and may be fully cashless. MHY builds both and tailors scanner, scale, cash and cashless modules to the workflow.
Can the terminals accept cash as well as cards and mobile wallets?
Yes. Configurations range from fully cashless terminals with NFC contactless, chip and magnetic readers and optional PIN pad to kiosks fitted with bill acceptors, coin changers and cash recyclers. Scanners, scales, printers and cameras can be added to match the store format.
Can the hardware connect to our retail or POS software?
MHY delivers Windows, Android or Linux hardware with SDKs and documented APIs for scanners, payment modules, printers and other peripherals, so your retail platform, POS or self-checkout application can control the devices. Pre-loaded images and kiosk-mode lockdown are available, and our software team supports joint debugging.
Do you also supply POS terminals and in-store digital signage?
Yes. Beyond self-service kiosks, MHY manufactures all-in-one and dual-screen POS terminals for staffed lanes, plus floor-standing and wall-mounted digital signage for promotions, wayfinding and queue management — allowing chains to standardize branding, modules and support across the whole store.
